Community Rules - Guidelines

  1. Rich
The Air Traffic Control (ATC) Forums are intended to provide a location for air traffic controllers to communicate with one another and learn about or educate others about air traffic control. In order to maintain order and a sense of community, all users should read and follow these conditions. By participating on the forums, users are affirming their willingness to comply with these terms. This memorandum has been created to provide you with information about what you can expect here, what is expected of you, and to answer some questions you may have in your use of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Online Forums.

There will be no excessive use of profanity. We have a built in site censor that helps block some explicit 4 letter words from making it on the site and within posts. Please make an attempt to act like a mature adult and limit your use of profanity. We are professionals and our posting habits should reflect this.

There will be no racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discrimination. Air Traffic Control (ATC) never endorses discrimination and users found to be violating this rule will be immediately banned from the Air Traffic Control (ATC) website. If you wish to be racist, you can do it somewhere else.

Spamming is not permitted; please keep all your posts as constructive as possible. Spamming the site will result in immediate banning. The url you are spamming will be added to the sites censors as well, rendering it useless on the Air Traffic Control (ATC) website.

Pornography, Warez, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form. Members attempting to use the Air Traffic Control (ATC) website for such purposes will be banned.

All posts are property of the poster. This forum and all web sites owned in conjunction with this forum have the right to alter or delete any offensive posts. Posts may be deleted for any reasons the forum administrators deem reasonable. We are npot obligated to remove any of your posts upon request and you understand this includes if you are banned.

Users may not argue a moderators decision publicly. Any and all complaints directed at a moderator must first address the moderator in question via a private conversation. If the problem can not be resolved, then the moderator and user must send their positions to the forum administrators. The forum administrators will make all final decisions. The forums are not for private communications. Please use the conversations system.

Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit or offensive. If you plan to post more than one image, or the topic is based on graphics, please link the images rather than screening them. We have a loose protocol on what may be deemed offensive. Images that are reported by members will be looked into and possibly deleted.

Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other topics and see where your topic should go. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it will be moved by a moderator or simply deleted since you didn't take the effort to post it in the proper forum to begin with.

If a topic is recognized as being posted in the wrong forum, or if the post is a violation of our guidelines, then please contact a moderator either via a private conversation or the report post to moderator feature. Please do not respond publicly to the member. A member of our staff will do what is required upon contact. Any person/s who attempt to present themselves as a moderator by posting negatively to a member's topic (which has been posted in error and requires locking or moving to another forum) will be sent a PM warning and placed into moderation queue upon further actions. (We will have to approve everything you post!)

You may have one username on the board at any one time. If you wish to change your name, contact a staff member using our name change request form. We reserve the right to merge or delete multiple accounts.

Respect is something everyone deserves until they prove otherwise. Members who repeatedly disrespect other members will be banned from the Air Traffic Control (ATC) website. Everyone here is an adult and needs to act like one.

These rules are subject to change and it is your responsibility to stay up to date with them. Whenever these rules have been altered we will post the date at the top of the page.
